Taib Mahmud Explains Himself But Why Is It Unbelievable

Sarawak Chief Minister Taib Mahmud could only manage a statement that leaves more questions than answers. At the first day for the new Sarawak Assembly, he states, “I have no assets in Switzerland”.

If Taib has no such assets in Switzerland, then whose assets did the Swiss authorities freeze?

Denying the allegations against him, Taib went further to suggest that there is a political motive behind all the attacks by the Bruno Manser Fund though he stops at providing more information into what the motive might be and how the Bruno Manser Fund would actually benefit from demonizing him.

Siah Tells Police: MoCS Not A Security Threat

The MoCS chief says he is not a security threat as he is only asking Taib to step down, and is not attempting to overthrow the state government.

JOHOR BARU: Movement for Change, Sarawak (MoCS) leader Francis Paul Siah told the Sarawak police today that there was no point in harassing him to record a statement while they allow the biggest crook in Sarawak to get away scotch free.

“Recording a statement is not the issue. I am asking the police to treat all citizens fairly. Call Taib Mahmud (Sarawak chief minister) in as well for a statement and I will dutifully do so,” he repeated an earlier request today.

announcement that the commission is “gathering more information” under MACC Act 2009 merely a farce?

Posing the question, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang also asked if MACC had “outsourced” the “gathering of information” to “any research organisation”.
